An Evening with Terry McMillan in Washington D.C. to Discuss Waiting to Exhale Sequel 'Getting to Happy'
WASHINGTON, D.C., Aug. 23 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Oracle Group announces that, on September 9, 2010 New York Times Best Selling Author Terry McMillan will discuss her highly anticipated sequel to Waiting to Exhale titled: "Getting to Happy" (ISBN: 978-0670022045, Hardcover; Viking) in the only official book signing event planned for Washington D.C. Guests will enjoy an exclusive evening of readings and receive signed copies of her extraordinary follow-up novel.
Ms. McMillan appears on Thursday September 9, 2010 at the Montgomery College Center for the Performing Arts. The event time is 7:00 p.m. and each ticket comes with a signed book. In addition, as part of a book drive for the D.C. Public Library, each patron is offered the opportunity to save 10% on their ticket purchase by donating children's books by the following Authors; Charisse Carney Nunes Nappy; Victoria Christopher Murray The Divine Divas Collection; and Paula Young Sheltons' Child of the Civil Rights Movement.
Upon ticket purchase, by entering the names of the above books, The Oracle Group will automatically donate a book to the Washington D.C. Public Library Anacostia Branch which in turn will give the free books to children of the Washington D.C. Community.
