Songs from MOTION POTION Already Being Downloaded Even As Church Groups Find Cover Art Suggestive

LOS ANGELES, CA (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Scott G, who records as The G-Man (www.gmanmusic.com), has released his 5th full-length CD entitled MOTION POTION with a cover design that some church groups find suggestive and disturbing.

“The cover contains two ellipses and a squiggle,” states The G-Man, “all in shades of pink. It’s a nice, simple, pretty, minimalist graphic design. Which happens to resemble a female breast,” he adds.

Created by Phil Hatten Design (www.philhatten.com), the cover is one of a series developed for The G-Man’s albums, many of which have been featured in graphic arts publications as examples of superb design.

“We’ve received letters of complaint about the cover,” says Brian Forest, VP of G-Man Music & Marketing Miracles, the commercial production company owned by Scott G in Los Angeles. “My favorite is the one that says ‘you and your ilk are corrupting America’s youth,’ with two of the words misspelled,” Forest added.

The G-Man album, MOTION POTION (UPC: 6-75604-93112-0), features 8 instrumental dance songs in the styles known as trance or techno and is being released by Delvian Records, (www.delvianrecords.com), the aggressively independent label with distribution on Apple’s iTunes and RealNetworks’ Rhapsody.

“Scott’s songs on Motion Potion fuse the beats of dance music with elements of electronics,” Forest says, “and include tones that recall such artists as The Crystal Method, Art of Noise, Zappa, and Chemical Brothers.”
