ATLANTA, Ga., Oct. 7 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — International Document Services, Inc. (IDS), a mortgage document preparation vendor, and Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, one of the top producers of affordable home ownership opportunities among U.S. Habitat affiliates, have teamed up to challenge attendees at the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) 97th Annual Convention and Expo to raise $10,000 for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

IDS will feature a stationary bicycle at its booth (No. 302) throughout the annual convention and, with the help of Challenge Riders, will attempt to keep the bike in constant motion for 200 miles by having each rider commit to at least 30 minutes.

“As mortgage professionals, it is critical for us to be proactive in the rehabilitation of our industry’s reputation by supporting causes that provide a measurable benefit for those our industry seeks to aid – the homeowner,” said IDS President Curt Doman. “We are thrilled to be working with the Atlanta affiliate of Habitat for Humanity to support an important domestic issue, affordable home ownership.”

“We are most grateful to IDS for its understanding of the issues and for support of Atlanta Habitat, the home-team affiliate in our city,” said Larrie Del Martin, president and CEO, Atlanta Habitat. “Just as the bike riders at the convention will demonstrate stamina, our first-time homebuyers maintain good credit, invest 250 sweat-equity hours and fulfill a requirement to complete at least 12 education courses. They, too, have kept on course, and they do it for their families and their children.”

The MBA Annual Conference will be held Oct. 24-27 in Atlanta. Companies that would like to make a contribution to this effort or would like to sign up to ride the bike during the conference should contact Ali Knudsen at ali@idsdoc.com or Tyler Sebresos at tyler@idsdoc.com.
