Senior Corporate Partner Augments VLP's Silicon Valley Corporate Practice

PALO ALTO, Calif., April 11, 2014 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- VLP Law Group LLP is pleased to announce the addition of David C. Lee to our Corporate, Securities and M&A practice group. Mr. Lee joins as a partner based in Silicon Valley.

Mr. Lee's global practice focuses on the representation of high-growth, venture-backed emerging companies, and the investors who fund and support such companies. He has over twenty years of experience handling corporate formation issues, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, securities compliance, technology licensing transactions and cross-border transactions.

Mr. Lee's practice involves working with a broad network of entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capital firms that are active in developing emerging companies. In addition to leveraging this network for his clients, he has acted as an outside general counsel for many of his company clients and, over his career, has handled hundreds of venture financings, as well as a significant number of major M&A deals and complex licensing transactions.

Mr. Lee comes to VLP Law Group from the Silicon Valley office of Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP, where he was a member of the Corporate and Securities practice group. He earned his J.D. from Stanford University and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, Mr. Lee was a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and a founding attorney and Director of Venture Law Group.
