Oscar Winners Join Oberon Theatre Ensemble's 24/7 Benefit

NEW YORK, N.Y., May 11, 2016 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Brad Fryman - Artistic Director, Oberon Theatre Ensemble ( announces that Oscar and Golden Globe Winners Alexander Dinelaris and Nicolás Giacobone (Birdman) will join Oberon Theatre's 24/7 Benefit to support its next season.

24/7 will feature seven short plays conceived, created, and presented in 24 hours. The performance is One Night Only. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the June Havoc Theater (312 West 36th Street.)

There is a reception at 6 p.m. followed by the performance at 7 p.m.

Playwrights include: Austin Pendleton (Orson's Shadow, Tony Nominee, Drama Desk and Obie Awards), Steven Fechter (The Woodsman, nominated for The Humanitas Prize), Nicolás Giacobone (Biutiful, Birdman), Duncan Pflaster (The Starship Astrov), Robin Rice (Women Without Walls), Cecilia Copeland (two time semifinalist at the O'Neill Playwrights Conference), and Megan Lohne (3 time Semi Finalist Samuel French Off Off Broadway Festival.)

Directors include: Alexander Dinelaris (The Drawer Boy, Birdman), Elowyn Castle (The Norwegians), Don Harvey (Broadway- That Championship Season, Titus Andronicus, NYSF), Brock Hill (Producing Artistic Director, Planet Connections), Eric Parness (Artistic Director, Resonance Ensemble), Cara Reichel (Lucille Lortel Award), and Logan Vaughn (Playwrights Horizons, The Public, 59e59.)

Cast includes: Ted Koch (Broadway-The Pillowman, Death of a Salesman, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Jason Loughlin (Broadway - Machinal, The Audience), Gabe Bettio, Jane Cortney, Dyanne Court, Ross DeGraw, Linda Delaney, Brad Fryman, William Tatlock Green, Mercedes Griffith, William Laney, Casandera Lollar, Diánna Martin, Chris McFarland, Linda S. Nelson, Donovan Patton, Mariana Genesio Peña, Carolyn Popp, Christina Russo, Laura Siner, Ryan Tramont, and Stewart Walker.

24/7 will be hosted by Mac Brydon.

Founded in 1997, Oberon Theatre Ensemble is an off off Broadway ensemble theatre company. Now entering its 19th season, Oberon has produced 57 full length productions and 100 staged readings of original plays. Oberon has 20 active members and many more regular collaborators, including award winning actors, playwrights, directors and designers. Oberon Theatre Ensemble is an active player in New York's independent theatre community. Oberon believes in the joy of a well told story, the connection offered by a supportive community, and the magic of the theatre.

24/7 will be presented at the June Havoc Theater (312 West 36th Street, 2nd Floor, between 8th & 9th Ave., Subway: A/C/E or 1/2/3 to 34th St.) There is a 6 p.m. reception followed by a performance at 7 p.m.
