Rivet Setting Tool System Invented by an Omaha Man

Pepper Aasgaard of Omaha, NE.

The new rivet setting tool, which is patent-pending, grips and rotates the self-tapping
rivets which cut through sheet metal and fastens in one step.  This tool has a potential to
save a tremendous amount of time and labor in the sheet metal industry.

The rivet setting tool debuted at the Minnesota Inventors Congress in Redwood Falls
Minnesota on June 11-12-13, 2004 where it received a Gold Medal along with other awards,
including a Gold Medal for the self-tapping Rivet in prior years.

There are over 50 billion rivets manufactured and used a year worldwide.  This is the most
significant innovation since blind rivets first were used to repair aircraft in WWII.

The manufacturing of this tool and/or distribution has an incredible potential for bringing
jobs to Nebraska according to Rick Logsdon, president of ASAR Tool, Incorporated.  The
