About the Artist

Walton creates riveting, emotional abstractions on canvas in the cold wax medium - consisting of a beeswax paste mixed with oil paints for a matte, layered texture. * Walton enjoys a growing reputation as a significant artist to watch, with demand for her work increasing among discerning collectors regionally, nationally and abroad.

* Accepted to the juried National Association of Women Artists in 2011, Walton enjoys emerging prestige as an artist with increasing significance in the national arena.

* Since 2006, Walton remains a fellow in the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, with support from the Karen Shea Silverman Foundation Endowment, at the Creative Retreat, Mount San Angelo, Amherst, Va.
