LOS ANGELES, Calif., Aug. 28, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Southern California Remodelers Council is conducting courses on September 26 in the areas of Marketing & Communication Strategies for Aging & Accessibility (CAPS I), September 27, Design/Build Solutions for Aging and Accessibility (CAPS II) and Business Management for Building Professionals on October 29. The courses have been designed for remodeling, building and construction professionals to expand their industry knowledge and stay on top of industry trends to find more financial success. In addition California statutes, these courses are also approved for continuing education for other contractor's state licenses.

The Caps I course will help you take advantage of one of the fastest growing market segments in remodeling and related industries. Maturing Americans are looking to revitalize their home environments. Learn best practices in communicating and interacting with this evolving population. Identifying opportunities and developing the skills to interact with 50+ customers can help you grow your business dramatically.

The Caps II course will help you understand the guidelines and requirements of accessibility, the importance of doing an assessment with input from occupational and physical therapists as well as qualified health care professionals, and the significance of good design in making modifications that can transform a house into a safe, attractive, and comfortable home for life.

The Business Management for Building Professionals course is designed for the new or experienced business owner. Learn the management skills that give industry leaders the edge. This course will give you a solid foundation for managing small to medium size building/remodeling and service companies.

The CAPS I & II classes will be held at the Huntington Beach, CA, Purcell Murray Showroom, 15400 Graham Street, Suite 102 and The Business Management for Building Professionals will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E. Green Street, Pasadena CA.

Classes will be conducted by Vince Butler, President of Butler Brothers Corporation as well as Benjamin Morey Founder and President of Morey Construction. Morey is an accredited instructor for the NAHB on Design/Build, and Business Management. He has been the recipient of the Qualified Remodelers Silver "Exterior Renovation" Master Design Award.

Vince Butler, CGR, GMB, CAPS, has extensive experience in the design, sales and production of residential construction and remodeling. Vince has a degree in Financial Management from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Graduate Master Builder (GMB) and Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS). He is a nationally recognized speaker on residential construction management topics and an approved University of Housing Instructor.

According to a recent survey that was conducted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the total median revenue of remodelers who had Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designations exceeded that of remodelers who did not have these designations by just over $607,000 last year, additional information from the NAHB Builder Member Census reveals that members who earned the Certified Graduate Builder (CGB), Graduate Master Builder (GMB) and Certified Green Professional™ (CGP) designations make more money than their non-designation-earning counterparts in the business.

The Southern California Remodelers Council is a subsidiary of the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC). Pricing for the courses are $200 members of NAHB / $250 nonmembers of NAHB. For more information on up-coming courses or joining the council visit http://socalremodeling.org/.
