The staff is a mixture of artists, craftspeople, and musicians; many of whom are Native Americans (Hualapai, Havasupai, Sioux). A professional drum circle facilitator leads the drum circle. "I see the Retreat as a chance for guests to encounter cultural and artistic diversity while exploring the universal cultural phenomenon of drumming," says Loretta Veach, Mojave Drums' founder. "In addition to the relaxing and organic hands-on experience of making your own drum, we will be able to enjoy performances from a number of dancers and musicians from the nearby Hualapai Nation."
