Marco Island Cable Plans on Meeting Vigorous Internet Telephony Demand by Engaging YFonGlobal
Published: Tue, 27 Feb 2007, 03:00:00 EDT
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Feb. 27 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Marco Island Cable has selected Internet media company and VoIP services provider, YFonGlobal (www.yfonglobal.com), to create and manage its new telephone service. With the new agreement, Marco Island Cable will be able to provide voice services to its customers utilizing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology.
Slated for testing starting in early March 2007, Marco Island Cable envisions launching its service to its cable subscribers in the Marco Island and Naples, FL communities. Marco Island Cable announced plans to offer a unique "Follow Me" calling plan, thanks to their agreement with YFonGlobal. The growing cable service provider will be able to allow seasonal residents to use one phone number that works both at their Marco Island winter home, as well their summer home, "up north."
"Our partnership with YFonGlobal will provide our customers a menu of quality services ranging from TV, telephone and cable internet access that many would suspect would only be available in large metropolitan areas," according to Marco Island Cable Company President Bill Gaston. "We are able to preserve the personalized, hands-on customer service that a small, home-town company like ours offers, with the added benefit of delivering leading edge services that our clients have come to expect," explained Gaston.
YFonGlobal is a private brand Internet Protocol (IP) service that utilizes Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, hosted by YFonGlobal, specifically for communications services providers and resellers, including cable service providers. YFonGlobal's service enables a telecommunications reseller to rapidly deploy and offer their own brand of services, customized to meet their needs, in terms of pricing, networking, and feature-functionality.
"We welcome the opportunity to expand Marco Island Cable's offerings to include delivering a world-class Internet telephony service. The architecture of this solution will put them squarely on par with, or exceed the capability of, mega-size competitors. Our rapid time-to-market provides the company with a competitive Internet telephony offering to meet the rapid demand generated mainly by a technology-oriented, transient Florida homeowner customer," according to YFonGlobal President and CEO Marian Sabety. "Marco Island Cable represents a typical YFonGlobal private brand program, which now will be able to provide state-of-the-art phone service," said Sabety.
